Over the years, I have had the opportunity to visit quite a few cities throughout the United States. Although it is not number one on my list, one city that is at the very top of the list of my favorite cities in the United States is Denver, Colorado. If you have never been to Denver before, I want to discuss a few of the reasons why I think this is one of the premiere cities that the United States has to offer.

While Denver gets stereotyped along with the rest of Colorado as a place that has nothing to offer other than snow, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. Denver has a rich culture, and when you are in the city, you can feel the energy coming from all of the visitors and people that call the city home.

Whether you a sports fanatic, a cultural connoisseur or just someone who is looking for a nice place to take your family on a vacation, the diversity of Denver means that it has things to offer to all kinds of people. Regardless of why you decide to visit Denver, I am confident that you will be happy with your decision to go there.

If you are planning on taking a trip to Denver, you are in for a wonderful experience.  If you have been to Denver before, you already know how great of a place it is. However, if this is going to be your first trip down there, I can guarantee you that you will enjoy yourself. Denver is a diverse place to go, and every type of person can find different reasons to fall in love with the city.

Since I am just naturally a helpful person, I would like to share a tip with you that I have picked up during my handful of trips to Denver. Regardless of your specific trip itinerary, things will go more smoothly for you if you have a rental car to use for transportation. Chances are you will be going to a variety of destinations throughout Denver, and there’s no easier way to get around than having a rental car.

Continuing with my rental car advice, you should also make your reservation before you arrive in Denver. Not only will this save you time, but it will also save you money. I don’t know about you, but time and money are two things that I always like having more of!

Although I have lived in Oklahoma for my entire life, I actually spent quite a bit of time in Colorado several years ago. The reason that I spent so much time in Colorado was because I was dating a girl who lived there. We met in Oklahoma when she spent the summer here with her aunt, and after she left to go back to Colorado, we made the decision to stay together. Even though we were in a long distance relationship, we actually made it work for over two years. I think the main reason for our success was because I made an effort to go to Colorado so often (and she did the same to come to Oklahoma).

Even though we normally just used her Mercury Cougar to get around when I visited Colorado, there was one special occasion (which was her senior prom) where we decided to rent a different car for the evening. Because I was under twenty-five, I was not able to get the car rental on my own, but luckily her Dad liked me and was willing to put the vehicle in his name!
