Last month, I took a four day trip to Denver. Although this was not a very long trip, I still had a great time during my four days in Denver. Although the holiday season has come to an end and a new year has kicked off, I am still at my parents’ home in Denver. The reason that I am still at their home is because I am a college student, and although we don’t get many breaks from school throughout the year, we get an entire month off between the fall and spring semesters.

Fortunately, Colorado is the place that several of my family members call home, so this is the place where we get to go every year when Christmas comes around.

Since I live quite far across the United States from Colorado, when October rolls around, I always start making all of my travel arrangements for my Christmas trip to Colorado. First and foremost, I find a flight to book. Because I start looking so early, I am always able to track down a good deal on a flight.

In addition to getting my flight booked, there is another travel arrangement that I always make. Although I don’t have to worry about a hotel (since I stay at my parents’ house), I do book a rental car to pickup at the Denver airport. The main reason is because my parents are really busy getting ready for Christmas when I arrive, so I like being able to get to their house without them needing to stop what they are doing in order to pick me up from the airport.
