I know that a lot of siblings fight with each other all the time, but that is definitely not the case with my brother and I. Even though we are relatively close in age (he is twenty-two and I just turned eighteen a couple of weeks ago), we have never had the type of relationship where we fight with each other all of the time. I think the reason that we have never really fought with each other is that ever since we were little, my brother has always taken the role of being the protective older brother. We could play with each other and have a ton of fun, and if anyone ever upset me or tried to do something to hurt me, I could always count on my big brother to take care of them right away.

Since we have had such a good relationship since we were younger, we are still very close now even though we are getting older. For example, when I was talking to my brother earlier this month, I told him that I was going to be off of school for President’s Day. After I told him this, he asked if I would like to come visit him in Denver (that’s where he is going to college). I was so excited when he asked me to visit, and I told him yes right away!

I got to have so much fun with my big brother in Denver. As always, he was very protective of me, but it’s always in my best interest, and he really went out of his way to make sure I had an awesome time while I was with him in Denver!

I have plenty of friends who do not like the cold weather. If they could have it their way, the weather would be warm and tropical throughout the entire year. While I do enjoy the warm weather in the summertime, I don’t think I would like to live in a place that was warm throughout the entire year. I really like getting to experience different seasons, and I think that having a variety of weather makes you appreciate the other types of weather a lot more. I also think that certain events and occasions wouldn’t be the same if it was always warm (for example, having a hot Christmas Day).

Since I am a fan of the cold weather, I go to Denver at some point during almost every winter season. Not only is Denver a city that has a ton to offer, but by simply renting a car in Denver, I am able to drive up to the mountains and enjoy at least one day of snowboarding, which is one of my favorite outdoor activities. This year, I spent a total of eight days in Denver, and I ended up getting to spend a full three days in the mountains on my snowboard!

If you read the title of this post and thought to yourself “what in the world is this guy talking about,” I completely understand where you are coming from. However, I’m going to try to use the remainder of this post to explain the details behind the title of this post.

I currently live in the city of Houston, but it was less than a year ago when I was living in Denver. I had been living and working in Denver for several years, and for the majority of my time there, I was in a relationship with the same woman. This was one of the few women that I can honestly say I have loved in my life, and I really thought that we were eventually going to get married. However, things somehow fell apart, and our relationship came to an end. Shortly after that, a job opportunity opened up in Houston, and I was happy to take it.

Now that we have both had some time to think, we’ve hit a point where we want to talk to each in person. I’m not going to Denver expecting to get back with my ex, but I would at least like to resolve our issues so that I could have her back as a friend.

Since I was born, Denver has always been the city that my aunt has called home. Although there is quite a bit of distance in between the two of us, we have never let this have a negative impact on our relationship. From the day that I was born, my aunt has always made sure that she has played a major role in my life (and when I say from the day I was born, I mean that literally, because the aunt was in the hospital with my Mom).

In addition to talking on the phone, the Internet has made it really convenient for us to stay in touch with each other. While the majority of our interaction takes place via some kind of electronic (whether it’s a phone or computer), there are times when we get to see each other in person. For example, I visited her in Denver just over two months ago. I actually didn’t tell her I was coming, so when my plane arrived, I got a rental car in Denver and drove to surprise her. She was shocked when she opened her front door, and we had an awesome time together while I was in Denver.
