When the start of this month got here, I told myself that I was going to find someplace to take a trip. The reason I decided that I needed a vacation was because I had been putting in a lot of time at work. I am not really the type of person who normally makes a decision like this one, but I felt like under the circumstances, it was the right thing for me to do. Upon deciding to follow through with my plan, I started looking around the Internet to see if I could go somewhere without spending a ton of money. Fortunately for me, my search eventually lead to me discovering a great deal on a trip to Denver. Since this trip was scheduled to last for four days, it seemed like it fit exactly what I had been wanting to find.

When you don’t plan ahead of time, your trip schedule is pretty wide open, and this trip was no exception. Since the goal of my trip was to feel as free as possible, I decided to go ahead and get a Denver car rental for myself. Upon reserving everything, I realized that my trip would begin in just six days.

When I got off the plane at the start of my trip, I knew that the only thing I actually had to do was picking up my Denver car rental. Arranging for my transportation online turned out to be a great decision, because actually picking up my Denver car rental was a breeze. I am happy to report that my trip went extremely well, and it was just what I needed to clear my head.

Considering the fact that I have been eagerly waiting for this week for several months now, I could not be more excited about the fact that Spring Break is next week. In case you are wondering why I am so excited about Spring Break, it’s because I’m going to have an entire week off from school to spend with my friends. Not only will I get to be with my friends all week, but I will get to be with them in Colorado. That’s right; a big group of my friends will be heading up to Denver to spend an entire week partying and having a good time with absolutely no responsibilities to worry about.

The really cool thing about our trip to Denver is that we are going to have a huge house to ourselves. Because we are going with between twenty and thirty people (the count changes almost everyday, so I won’t know until we actually get to Denver), we were able to pool our money and rent a huge house for the full week. In fact, the phrase “huge house” doesn’t do this place justice; it’s a legitimate mansion, and it’s going to be the perfect location for all of our Spring Break fun!

It’s amazing to think that one of my best friends and I have been living in different cities for over three years. Although it seems like just yesterday when we were working together everyday and hanging out with each other almost every night, it really goes to show how quickly times flies by. While we still work for the same company, the reason that we now live in different cities is because when our company opened a new branch in Denver, they decided to transfer my friend to this new branch.

Even though we have been living in different cities for this long, it hasn’t caused any problems in terms of our friendship. Since we do work for the same company, we are able to talk almost everyday at work via our company’s instant messaging system. In addition to staying in touch over the Internet, we try to visit each other as often as possible. For example, my next trip to Denver to see my friend will be in a little less than three weeks. Because I have been to Denver on numerous occasions, I have gotten quite good at making all of my travel arrangements (ranging from the flight to getting a car rental in Denver).
