Although the holiday season has come to an end and a new year has kicked off, I am still at my parents’ home in Denver. The reason that I am still at their home is because I am a college student, and although we don’t get many breaks from school throughout the year, we get an entire month off between the fall and spring semesters.

This may sound kind of bad, but being at home for so long is actually kind of hard. A month doesn’t seem like that long of a time on paper, but when you are actually experiencing it, it seems to go on forever. I guess that the main reason it seems so long is because I am used to making my own schedule and choices. After you have moved out of your parents’ home, you kind of forget what it’s like to be on someone else’s schedule.

Because I have been getting stressed out, I knew that I needed to relax, so last week I got a rental car (since my car is back at college because I flew home) and actually drove up to the mountains for a relaxing day on my own.
