Colorado is a great state. From its snowy mountains to its quaint suburbs where everyone always seems to be active and doing something fun outside (at least during the warmer months), Colorado has something to offer to almost everyone. Although I like all of these areas of Colorado, the place that is my favorite by far is Denver.

If you have never visited Denver, you may assume that it’s like every other large city. However, Denver just has certain qualities that make it stand out from other large cities. It’s hard to describe to someone who has never been there, but once you visit Denver for yourself, you will understand exactly what I’m talking about.

If you do visit Denver, make sure you rent a car. Unlike some large cities, car rental in Denver is a must. There are taxis and public transportation, but because Denver is quite spread out, you’re going to end up spending a large amount of your trip waiting around if you rely on these methods of transportation. Renting a car in Denver also allows you to journey outside the city and explore some of Colorado’s other great areas.
